Emmelie Scholtens and Charlotte Fry win final of Subli Competition

The final of the Subli Competition on Thursday, Jan. 23, was a wonderful conclusion to an exciting season. In an impressive ambiance at Jumping Amsterdam, the talented young horses and their riders competed for the coveted titles. The audience enjoyed high-quality dressage talent and a sporting battle, in which in the end Emmelie Scholtens and Charlotte Fry claimed the victories.

Emmelie Scholtens impresses with Port-Au-Prince

In the four-year-olds, it was Emmelie Scholtens who took the victory with the talented Port-Au-Prince. Port-Au-Prince is a son of Emmelie's own topper Desperado. "It felt like I was riding a younger version of him. He can do anything, has a mega good character and a very nice appearance. He is a positive and happy horse. This is a great start to the new year. It is a beautiful ambiance and they are still young horses. I enjoyed him again." said a satisfied Emmelie Scholtens.

Charlotte Fry shines with Secret Lover

In the class for five-year-olds, it was Charlotte Fry with Secret Lover who grabbed the victory. They were a fraction (0.6%) better than Lara van Nek with Obsession Taonga. Both horses excelled on all fronts and achieved an extremely high level. The winner of last year's Subli Cup had to settle for third place this time. Oromance (For Romance I x Rousseau) scored with Femke de Laat especially in trot (9) and finished at 80.2%.

"Secret Lover was great. It's obviously an impressive atmosphere for a five-year-old, but he was very focused and had fun. I'm very proud of him. He has great gaits and a great character. He's good at everything!" spoke Charlotte Fry enthusiastically.
