Subli Competition Young Dressage Horses

Subli Competition for Young Dressage Horses is the competition for four- and five-year-old dressage horses. The competition consists of eight selection competitions (both indoor and outdoor), a semi-final and a final. The competitions take place on sandy grounds. The two highest results from the selections count for placement in the semifinals. The best 15 horses per age group will be invited to the semifinals in December. The best 5 horses per age group are invited to the finals.

Many successful horses have participated in the Subli Competition in their younger years, such as Arlando, Capri Sonne Jr, Johnny Depp, and Sir Fashion. Last season Femke de Laat put down a great performance by winning both finals of the Subli Competition. In the four-year-olds, she achieved a stunning score of 89.240% with Oromance. In the five-year-olds she won the finals with the stallion Network with a score of 84,800%. In this article, we look back.

During the selection competitions and half finals, you ride a mooring test for four- or five-year-old horses (KNHS tests 50a and 51a). Regulations
