What personal data does AR process?
Examples of personal data include: name, address, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, IBAN or IP address. AR collects your personal data when, for example, you fill out a contact form, send a letter or e-mail or call our sales office. Also when you visit one of AR's online services or when you leave your data there or with one of the branches or employees, you provide personal data to us. Furthermore, personal data may be collected in the context of a (potential) customer or business relationship with AR.

What does AR do with personal data?   
AR uses your personal data for the purpose of efficient and effective business operations, the provision of products and services and, in particular, to carry out the following activities:

  • AR processes personal data for executing appointments and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. For example, AR records the name and address information of a client or his representatives and updates this information in case of change. AR relies for this processing on the performance of an agreement respectively on its legitimate interest since maintaining relationships is necessary in the normal course of business.
  • AR also processes personal data, such as login information, when customers register through My AR portal, My Feedmasters portal and/or web shops. These online services give customers insight into their business data such as orders and invoices. Based on the data made available, AR can provide customized advice to customers regarding feed and/or efficient and effective business operations. Partly because of the feed-related and business-related nature of this advice and the aim to optimize services, AR bases the processing of these data on legitimate interest. AR may also use this data for e.g. the handling of complaints.
  • To be able to carry out marketing activities, AR processes personal data of (potential) relations and members, such as address data, e-mail address, company and sector data and visits to our online services. Where necessary, personal data in this context are processed on the basis of consent. For direct marketing purposes, personal data of relations are processed on the basis of legitimate interest as these activities are considered part of AR's normal business operations.
  • For communication purposes, such as providing information on products, services and events through, for example, a newsletter, one of the online services and social media, contact data of relations may be processed. In this context, AR may also provide (financial) information to analysts, the press and/or others who have left their contact data with AR for this purpose. For providing information through a newsletter, prior consent is requested. With regard to cookies, reference is made to our cookie policy. For other communication purposes, AR's legitimate interest forms the basis as those activities relate to AR's normal business operations.
  • To be able to improve services, personal data of customers, such as data on the delivery of products and services, visit reports, (financial) key figures/data or technical (business and animal) results, are used for internal analyses and to measure and be able to improve product and business performance. The basis for this processing is legitimate interest as the processing is necessary in the normal course of AR's business.
  • Through "Working at" on AR's websites, job seekers can leave various data, such as their contact information and resume, based on permission. In doing so, the job seeker can also use his or her LinkedIn profile or a similar application via a link. Based on this data, AR can assess whether a job seeker is invited for an interview.
  • For the purpose of financial administration and internal control, for example, invoice and payment data are processed. The basis of this processing is performance of an agreement.
  • For example, to secure individuals (such as visitors and employees), information, buildings and products, visitors to our locations may be asked to leave name and company information. Camera surveillance may be used at all AR locations. Personal data in this case are processed based on AR's legitimate interest in security.
  • For development and analysis purposes to improve AR's online services, data such as IP address, web pages visited, click and surfing behavior, internet browser and duration of a visit or session are processed. The basis for this processing is the legitimate interest. Reference is hereby made to the cookie policy.

With whom does AR share your personal data and why?
AR will not sell your personal data to third parties and will only use it for the purposes mentioned above. AR may engage third parties in the conduct of its business. Insofar as these third parties process your data in the conduct of business activities, the required measures are taken to ensure that your data are only processed insofar as necessary in this context. AR will further provide your data to third parties in cases in which it is obliged to do so, such as in the event of a court order, or if it has obtained prior consent.

Exchange of data within AR subsidiaries. 
If you are a customer of AR then your personal data may be shared within AR's subsidiaries. This may be done for administrative purposes. It may also be done to get an overall view of your business and the products and services you purchase from AR. AR can better serve you as a result. AR bases this on its legitimate interest as these activities are the normal business of AR.

How long does AR keep your personal data?
AR does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes listed above. The retention period for personal data depends on the purpose for which the personal data are used. This takes into account at least the applicable legal retention period, the reasonable expectation that personal data will still be used for the purpose for which it was obtained and AR's legitimate interests. As soon as the personal data are no longer necessary, they will be anonymized or deleted.

How does AR protect your personal data?
AR has taken the necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized use of your personal data. AR has an information security policy that is regularly adapted to new regulations and market developments. In addition, AR has taken measures regarding physical and digital access security (policies and procedures, IT security and so on). Furthermore, AR employees should not provide your personal data unlawfully or unnecessarily.

Requests for access, correction, deletion, objection and data transfer
If you have your own account with AR (e.g. My AR) then you have access to a large part of the personal data collected about you. You can change or delete some data yourself at any time, for example your account information.

You can also use this e-mail address if you wish to have your personal data corrected or deleted, if you wish to object to processing or if you wish to exercise your right to data transfer.
