Many horse owners have been invited to complete the Combined Declaration. Did you know that many horse owners are also eligible for farm subsidies? You can apply no later than May 15. Combined Declaration

As a horse farmer, you have to deal with various agricultural regulations, including filling out the Combined Declaration. Through this declaration the manure placement space is regulated, but also the agricultural subsidies can be applied for. If you have business activities with at least 3 hectares of land and a manure production (or supply) of 350 kg of nitrogen in the form of animal manure, then you are also required to keep a manure administration and complete the Gecombineerde Opgave.

When do you qualify for farm subsidies?

The agricultural subsidy consists of a basic premium of about 200 euros per hectare (up to 40 hectares) and with carrying out eco-activities it is possible to double that amount. To qualify, you must be an "active farmer. This can be done in several ways:

  1. You were registered with the Chamber of Commerce on May 15 with agricultural SBI code.
  2. You are registered with the Chamber of Commerce with agricultural SBI code as a secondary activity and the proportion of agricultural activity is more than 1/3 (mandatory proof with auditor's report).
  3. You fall under the "5000 euro rule" target group. These are companies that received less than 5,000 euros in direct payments in 2024.
